Goliath Wild Magic Sorcery Sorcerer Build Guide
Why Wild Magic Sorcery?
The Goliath Wild Magic Sorcery Sorcerer combines Goliath's racial traits with the Wild Magic Sorcery's specialized features. As a Controller, this build leverages spellcasting with a unique twist from the Wild Magic Sorcery archetype.
Key features include Wild Magic Surge, Tides of Chaos, Bend Luck. With CHA as the primary ability at 15, this build maximizes the Sorcerer's core strengths.
Wild Magic Sorcery Features
Wild Magic Surge
Level 3Once per turn, after you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, the DM can have you roll a d20. If you roll a 1, roll on the Wild Magic Surge table to create a random magical effect.
Tides of Chaos
Level 3You can gain advantage on one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. Once you do so, you can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest. Any time before you regain the use of this feature, the DM can have you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table immediately after you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher. You then regain the use of this feature.
Bend Luck
Level 6When another creature you can see makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can use your reaction and spend 2 sorcery points to roll 1d4 and apply the number rolled as a bonus or penalty (your choice) to the creature's roll. You can do so after the creature rolls but before any effects occur.
Controlled Chaos
Level 14Whenever you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table, you can roll twice and use either result.
Tamed Surge
Level 18You gain a measure of control over the surges of your wild magic. Whenever you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table, you can roll twice and choose which result to use. If you roll the same number on both dice, you can instead choose any effect on the table.
