Orc Wizard Build Guide

Orc Wizard Build Guide

An Orc Wizard blends raw might with arcane power, using Relentless Endurance to keep casting spells when others fall.

3/10 Synergy Controller Role Medium Difficulty

Why Orc Wizard?

While an Orc might not seem like the typical spellcaster, the combination offers surprising resilience for a Wizard. With a Hit Die of d6, Wizards are naturally fragile. However, the Orc's Adrenaline Rush allows for a bonus action Dash with temporary hit points, giving you a much-needed boost to maneuverability and a small buffer against incoming damage. This, coupled with Relentless Endurance, lets you shrug off a potentially fatal blow once per long rest, keeping you in the fight longer than most arcane practitioners.

Focusing on Intelligence (INT) is paramount for any Wizard, as it dictates spellcasting power. Aiming for an INT of 15 at character creation will give you a strong foundation. While your Strength (STR) might be low at 8, your Constitution (CON) of 14 will help shore up your hit points, which are crucial for staying alive, especially when you're near the front lines trying to utilize your Orcish traits. The Orc's Darkvision is a nice bonus for exploring dungeons.
