Why Warrior of Shadow?
The Warrior of Shadow is a fast-paced "Striker"—a party role focused on darting in, dealing heavy damage, and slipping away before enemies can retaliate. While traditional Monks can sometimes feel fragile in the middle of a brawl, the Orc's natural physical toughness perfectly covers this weakness. If an enemy manages to corner you, your Relentless Endurance trait ensures you bounce back to 1 Hit Point instead of falling unconscious, keeping you in the fight.
Your battlefield mobility is unmatched. At level 6, the Shadow Step feature lets you teleport from one patch of darkness to another as a bonus action. When there are no shadows nearby, your Orcish Adrenaline Rush allows you to dash across the battlefield while gaining temporary hit points. This synergy means you are never truly trapped, constantly repositioning to strike vulnerable targets.
Furthermore, your innate Darkvision means you can see perfectly in pitch-black environments. This is crucial because your Shadow Arts feature allows you to manipulate darkness, letting you blind enemies while you navigate the shadows effortlessly. You are a terrifying, unstoppable phantom on the battlefield.
Warrior of Shadow Features
Shadow Arts
Level 3When you finish a Short or Long Rest, you can pick one leveled spell from the Wizard spell list that has a casting time of an action and is of a rank you can cast (see the Monk Spellcasting table for the ranks of spells you can cast). You can cast this spell without expending Focus Points. You can cast this spell in this way until you finish a Short or Long Rest, at which point you choose a different spell. When you cast this spell, you can use Wisdom as your spellcasting ability instead of Intelligence. You can spend 1 Focus Point when you cast a spell in this way to increase the spell's rank by one rank (if the spell scales).
Shadow Step
Level 6When you take the Hide action in dim light or darkness, you can use a Bonus Action to take the Dash action as well. When you move at least 30 feet in one turn while in dim light or darkness, you gain the benefits of the Hide action for that turn.
Improved Shadow Step
Level 11You can move through nonmagical dim light and darkness without provoking opportunity attacks. When you end your turn in dim light or darkness, you can use a Bonus Action and spend 1 Focus Point to become Invisible until the start of your next turn.
Cloak of Shadows
Level 17When you are in dim light or darkness, you can use an action and spend 2 Focus Points to become Invisible. You remain Invisible until you make an attack, cast a spell, or until you are in bright light.

Pro Tips
Use Shadow Step to teleport onto high ledges, then activate Adrenaline Rush to dive-bomb distant enemies with extra temporary hit points.
If you find yourself trapped in a brightly lit area where your shadow teleportation won't work, use Adrenaline Rush to safely escape.
Cast darkness using Shadow Arts, then use your Darkvision to ambush blinded foes who can no longer see you coming.
Don't fear aggressive flanking; if a risky shadow-strike goes wrong, Relentless Endurance will keep you standing so you can teleport away next turn.
