Why Circle of the Sea?

The Tiefling Circle of the Sea Druid is a master of battlefield control, using the ocean's fury to keep enemies at bay. While Druids are often seen as peaceful nature-lovers, this build taps into both the tempestuous oceans and your fiendish heritage to become a formidable frontline controller. Your high Wisdom (WIS) of 15 powers your spellcasting and subclass abilities, making it easy to manipulate the battlefield.

One of the strongest aspects of this combination is your sheer elemental resilience. As a Tiefling, your Fiendish Legacy grants you natural resistance to fire damage. When you reach level 6 and unlock Aquatic Affinity, you also gain resistance to cold damage. Having both fire and cold resistance makes you incredibly tough to take down, allowing you to confidently position yourself near the frontline to unleash your magic.

This close positioning is crucial for using your level 3 feature, Wrath of the Sea. This feature lets you spend a use of your Wild Shape to conjure a swirling aura of rain and lightning around yourself, striking and pushing back nearby enemies. Your Wrath of the Sea grants you two additional effects while active. Flight: You gain a Flying Speed equal to your Walking Speed. Tempest: When a creature starts its turn in your Wrath of the Sea Emanation, it takes Lightning damage equal to your Druid level.

Oceanic Gift

Level 14

Instead of manifesting the Emanation of your Wrath of the Sea around yourself, you can manifest it centered on a point within 30 feet of you.
